Can We Do God's Job Better Than Him?

I’m sure there are millions of things that you do not like about yourself. Your breast are too small/large; your behind is too big/flat; your hair is too short/thin/thick/grey; your feet are too small/wide/fat, etc. So what is my point?? My point is that as long as we stand in a mirror and look at the surface reflection, our physical self we will always find things to criticize, change, and even hate. Don’t get me wrong, there are also things that we love about ourselves, but are they enough??
It should be enough because the Bible says, Psalm 139:13-14 (NKJV) 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
Do you see yourself as needing enhancements, improvements, or adjustments? If so why?? Why is it so hard to look at yourself in the mirror and see what GOD sees? Why can’t we see the beauty that GOD has placed there? Why are we so quick to want to “improve” on what God has already created? Who are we to even think we have the right to make “improvements” on what God created?? That takes a lot of nerve, and self assuredness to think that we can do better what God has already done!

Our bodies are not pieces of art that “man” needs to shape or mold into what society says we should be. The Master Crafter has already done it! Acts 17:28-30 (NKJV) says, 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.

People everywhere are dying (or look dead) because we are trying to improve upon what we have. We are trying to perfect an image that is already perfect! It is our job to take care of what God gave us. Our bodies are the temple and should be taken cared of accordingly, 1st. Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV) says, 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

So yes we are called to care for and preserve the temple, but we were not instructed to Nip/Tuck/Cut/Suck Out/ or Pump in or out any substances that will change our appearance! We are perpetuating a cycle by telling our children that they are not good enough the way they are. We are reinforcing the medias’ image of beauty, which is ultimately damaging to our youth.
Take a minute to look at the video below “onslaught”. It is time to take a stand and help promote the well-being of ourselves, our neighbors, or children, our world…

No, we cannot do a better job. This is why so many people are becoming sick, getting disfigured or worse, because this is not natural and we are not supposed to abuse cosmetic surgery. It should be used for extreme emergencies (i.e.- burn victims, serious accidents, etc.) and that's all, not for nip tuck fanatics. I hope the West family can heal from this loss and tragedy.

What happened to Donda West is tragic and such an unnecessary loss! Cosmetic surgery should be reserved for those that really need it because of genuine disfigurement.
